Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to individuals who register as a host for the Fire Up For Men’s Health fundraising campaign.
The official time to host an event is 1st September - 30th November 2024. Registrations for the campaign open on Monday 15 July 2024. Registered hosts will be notified of the start time and any change in date. Registrations close on Sunday 24 November 2024, with the last day to host on 30 November 2024.
1. Registration
Upon registering as a Fire Up For Men’s Health host for THRF Group – WA you will be able to access a temporary Authority to Fundraise Permit via the online Funraisin dashboard, confirming our involvement. You will need this document to solicit donations in face-to-face interactions. THRF Group - WA reserves the right to withdraw this permit at any time by notice to you.
Fire Up For Men’s Health events shall be conducted in the host’s name, who has sole responsibility for their Fire Up For Men’s Health event. THRF Group – WA does not take responsibility for the running of or success of a host’s Fire Up For Men’s Health event.
2. Promotional material
Any documents or promotional material used by a host for their Fire Up For Men’s Health event must be in accordance with our style guide, which details the use of the The Hospital Research Foundation Group – WA Trust (ABN 91 912 794 277) (THRF Group - WA) logo and name. Approved documents and/or promotional material are available to download on the Fire Up For Men’s Health website under the ‘Resources’ tab.
3. It is the responsibility of the host to:
- Ensure that their Fire Up For Men’s Health event complies with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements;
- Arrange appropriate insurance cover for the event as required; and
- Obtain any relevant licenses or permissions from relevant authorities for the event.
THRF Group – WA reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to accept or decline any registration from a prospective host. If a registration is declined/cancelled the donations raised by the host will not be refunded.
Fire Up For Men’s Health hosts must be aged 15 years or over unless supervised by an adult.
4. Donations
All fundraising donations for the Event should be made through the host’s online event fundraising page on Funraisin - www.funraisin.co (Funraisin ABN 90 1476 291 50). The Privacy Policy for Funraisin can be viewed here: https://www.funraisin.co/privacy-policy.
All fundraising donations will be received by THRF Group - WA. THRF Group – WA is a deductible gift recipient and donations over $2 are tax deductible. When a donor donates $2 or more online to a Fire Up For Men’s Health host’s fundraising page, an automatic tax-deductible receipt will be issued to the donor’s nominated email address.
Donations will not be refunded in any circumstances, including where a host is unable to participate in the event or in the case of cancellation.
If you wish to collect offline donations towards your Fire Up For Men’s Health event, individual receipts will only be issued to the donors by THRF Group – WA if the donation is $2 or more, and you supply THRF Group – WA with a register of all donors who request a receipt. This register must be in a written format with details including date, name, address, email and donated amount.
All funds raised by Fire Up For Men’s Health hosts must be submitted to THRF Group – WA by Monday 16 December 2024 to be counted towards Fire Up For Men's Health 2024 final total. If you donate after this date, your donation will still go to the cause, however it will not be recorded against the final total for 2024.
5. Privacy
By registering for Fire Up For Men’s Health and providing my contact details, I consent to being contacted by THRF Group - WA and third parties acting on behalf of THRF Group - WA regarding the Event, Fire Up For Men's Health, and future events. This includes email marketing and other digital marketing and advertising.
I understand that I may opt out of receiving further electronic marketing communications by following the opt-out instructions provided in the communication.

I have read the above terms and conditions of entry and agree to abide by these and all other terms and conditions or directions issued by THRF Group - WA.
Gift matching terms and conditions
1. General
- Your Fire Up donations will be matched this Spring!
- All donations made between 1 September – 30 November 2024 will be gift matched thanks to our generous Event Partner BOQ! This means, your $10 will become $20 to raise vital funds for men’s health research through The Hospital Research Foundation Group.
- Your kind donation will be DOUBLED this Spring thanks to our generous Event Partner, BOQ. This is your chance to have a life-changing impact on men’s heath research and support.
- Gifts matched up until 30 November or until the fund is exhausted.
2. Disclaimer
Your Fire Up donations will be matched thanks to our generous Event Partner BOQ! Donations made on or between 1 September - 30 November 2024, until 11:59 PM ACST are eligible for matching up to the total matching fund amount of $20,000. Matching stops at 11:59 PM ACST on 30 November 2024 or if the fund is exhausted prior. Any matching pledges unfulfilled before 1 September 2024, at 00:01 AM ACST, will not be included in the matching fund total.
